June Marie Currie, born
18 February 1966 , is a Winnipeg homemaker, jewelry designer and former health care aid.Early life
June was born in Winnipeg to Allan Currie and Jackie Gregory on 18 February 1966.
She is the oldest of her father's children, of his father Clyde Currie's grandchildren, and his father Alex Currie's great-grandchildren.
After her parents' divorce in 1980 she continued to live with her mother Jackie, moving to various places around Manitoba.
After leaving home, she resettled in Winnipeg.
Family
She had a daughter, Desiree Hunt, by her boyfriend Steve Hunt, on 30 September 1985.
As of 2018 she is living with a partner, Tom Tekoning.
Career
She spent a number of years as a health care aid.
As of 2018, she is a homemaker, but has a home business called Dragonfly Jewellery.
As part of this business, she taught a class, "How to Make a Knotted Mala [necklace]", on 9 August 2017 at the Le Marché St. Norbert Farmers' Market Farmers' Festival. [1]
