Happy

Happy was a highly social dog who lived for many years in the 1990s on Surprise Lake.

He was taken care of by Mush Salonen until he died in June 2001. Then Carl and Pat Lehto took over. It's not clear if Carl moved into town before or after Happy died.

According to Virginia Wolnarski in 2019, "the Lehtos looked after Happy and posted a picture of him when he passed on on the Chronicle-Journal with a very nice obit. when we walked the highway each day he would follow us to the bridge and back. He was a special dog to remember."
