Maurice Henry Jackson (1939 - 2013) was the son of Thunder Bay dance instructor Amelia Jackson.

Obituary

Mr. Maurice Henry Jackson, age 75 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away at home on Sunday, May 19, 2013.

Maurice was born in Peterborough and was raised in Fort William. He attended St. Stanislaus School and then graduated from Fort William Collegiate. He studied engineering at the University of Minnesota Duluth. He enjoyed sailing on Lake Superior. Later in his life he lived and worked at Shelter House on Simpson Street.

Maurice is lovingly remembered by his fiancée Anne Hunter-MacLean and two cousins Terry and Jack Redden. He was predeceased by his parents Maurice and Amelia Jackson and cousin Jim Redden.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 11:00am in the Blake Funeral Chapel with Msgr. P.M. Stilla V.G. officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service. Interment will take place in St. Andrew's Cemetery at a later date. If friends desire, memorials to the Shelter House would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Maurice Jackson in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.
