Markall's School of Dance (at least 1970 - before 2000) was a dance studio in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, founded by Ethel Markall and after she died it was co-owned by her son Bob Markall and granddaughter Wendy Holmquist. Wendy later closed Markall's School of Dance and opened her own studio in 2000, Dance Dynamics.

This is cool! For Markall’s School of Dance...Ethel’s son was named Bob Markall. He taught baton there and was well known for displaying his fire baton skills in parades.

1967 took baton lessons from BOB. Did a few parades in Duluth, Silver Harbour and Port Arthur.

I took lessons with Ethel Markall on Saturday mornings at the Jaycee Hall on Arthur (now Red River Road). And baton with her and Bob [Markall] (we called him Bobby) at Hillcrest High. His fire baton was so impressive. And all the parades.. here and in Duluth. I still have photos.
