Marjorie Cooke

Marjorie "Marge" Cooke-Bartsch (born circa 1945) is a Canadian-born member of the extended Cooke family.

She grew up in Fort Garry, Winnipeg, where her family lived near Lucy Currie and her husband Jack Currie. Her father served as Superintendent of the Canadian National Railway car shops in Fort Rouge. During her childhood, she had regular contact with Jack and Lucy's son Ron Currie, including periods when he stayed in her family home.

Marge's family moved to Toronto in 1952.

She later lived in San Francisco, where she worked at Stanford Children’s Hospital.

Marriage and family

In about 1976, she married Lynn Bartsch. They had two sons:

  • John Bartsch (born December 1978), employed in wealth management at KeyBank; married; three children (twins Ayden and Addison, and Emily).
  • Carson Bartsch (born December 1981), owner of a painting company; married; no children.

In about 1977, the couple moved to Los Angeles, where they lived for about 15 years until 1992.

In 1992, they relocated to Denver, Colorado, where she continues to reside.
